AA Singapore organises Art Jamming session as morale booster for staff.
2020 has been an intense year. Family activities during COVID-19 aren’t quite the same. Even with society reopening in the Post-Circuit Breaker Phase, safety is still a major concern: social distancing is practised, the wearing of masks is compulsory in many places, large gatherings are not permitted, and outdoor activities are curtailed.
To improve staff morale and promote staff well-being, AA Singapore took the opportunity to hold a mini Art Jamming session for families with kids to ignite imagination and cultivate creative thinking. The activity took place on Saturday, 15 August 2020, at the open-air deck on the fourth level of AA Centre, located at 2 Kung Chong Road. Right next to the open-air deck is Burlamacco Café and Pizzeria, where families can dine on authentic Italian food and coffee. You can read more about this charming café here.
Prior to the start of the event, ground sheets were laid to protect the deck from dripping and splattering paint, while easels and foldable chairs were spaced out across the entire deck in groups of five, as per the current COVID-19 safety protocols. Participants are required to adhere to the social distancing and put on their masks throughout the session while observing hygiene and sanitising their hands before and after the session.
Once the activity commenced at 10.30am, participants began to unleash their creativity with the art materials provided — it was inspiring and therapeutic for all. Despite the humid weather that day, the younger participants enjoyed the session. The close of the event at 12.30pm saw all participants happily lugging their masterpieces home.
AA Singapore is exploring the idea of hosting such Art Jamming sessions for families and friends, limited to groups of five. If you are looking for a quiet and inspiring environment to create your art pieces, please email our Events & Activities team at: firstname.lastname@example.org
