These pet-friendly cafes are giving new meaning to this term!

If you have a dog, you’re probably loath to leave it behind every time you go out for a meal. Thankfully, there are establishments here that not only welcome customers’ fur babies, but provide them with their own drool-worthy chow!

But do call up these venues and let them know you’re bringing your pet along as they may have limited seats.

SUN RAY CAFEThis award-winning specialty coffee and tea joint will not only satisfy your caffeine cravings, it also provides a healthy food menu for your fur kids. ​

According to the Sun Ray website, their food is prepared using human-grade meats and vegetables, and cooked sans seasoning — all recipes used are pet-friendly. The cafe goes a step further by using only ingredients that are non-toxic for pets in their dishes for humans. This is in case your fur kid gobbles up a stray crumb or two. So, you won’t find whole nuts, onions or chocolates in the servings here.

Sun Ray even bakes pet cakes, either meat- or fruit-based, making it convenient when planning a birthday celebration for your pet. Just remember to give them at least two days’ notice.

FIVE AND 2Situated near Punggol Park, this is just the place to drop by for a meal after taking your pooch for a run. Here, you can enjoy a variety of cuisines, including Thai, Korean and Italian. Craving local fare? Rest easy, as this bistro also serves up slurp-worthy laksa!

WOOFTOPIA PET CAFELocated at The Grandstand, this cafe serves a range of pastas, burgers, risotto, salads and other favourites. What’s more, they have a pet menu that can be customised according to your fur baby’s preferences.

For mains, Rover has four choices: baked chicken leg meat, boiled pork, sauteed minced beef, and baked flaky salmon. Sides — including broccoli, pumpkin sauce, mashed potato, hard-boiled egg, and blueberries — are glazed with pure honey or coconut oil.

With toys available for your pooch to play with, and a spacious area set aside for them, this is also a pleasant venue to hold a doggy party for your best friend.
