Food With A View

3 min read

Whether enjoying cityscapes from above or seaside panoramas, these dining establishments in Singapore are worth a visit for both their tasty food and breathtaking views!

Dusk Restaurant & Bar
Perched a hundred metres above sea level on Mount Faber, Dusk Restaurant & Bar offers panoramic views of Harbourfront (including its swanky condominium buildings) and Sentosa. Part of its charm lies in its location. Unless you drive or opt for a Grab, you’ll have to brave the trek up Mount Faber or take a scenic ride via cable car, which drops you right at the restaurant. Dusk serves what they describe as modern European cuisine, complemented by a well-curated wine list and a selection of cocktails.

LeVeL33

LeVeL33 has been around for 16 years, but its stunning views of Marina Bay remain timeless. Staying true to its status as the world’s highest microbrewery is its menu, dubbed ‘ContemBrewery’ by its chef, blending beer brewing elements into the food. Of course, don’t leave without tasting one (or a few) of their award-winning craft beers!

PanamericanaPanamericana wows in more than just its amazing prime location in the Sentosa Golf Club, overlooking the Straits of Singapore. Its massive 7,000 sq ft size with both indoor and al fresco spaces, along with floor-to-ceiling windows framing the beautiful scenery, add to its allure. As a nod to its name, adopted from the Pan-American Highway traversing the Americas, its menu is inspired by North, Central, and South American cuisine.

Rasa Istimewa
The only restaurant in Singapore located on a jetty, Rasa Istimewa at Woodlands Waterfront Park is a Halal-certified establishment overlooking the Causeway. One of three Rasa Istimewa outlets, it serves zi char-style food alongside barbecued seafood. If you’re there for dinner, don’t forget to arrive in time for sunset, as Rasa Istimewa faces west – the views are known to be gorgeous at dusk!

The Punggol SettlementSome years ago, what was once a gloomy and mysterious part of Punggol underwent a remarkable transformation, becoming the charming dining enclave known as The Punggol Settlement. Located next to Punggol Point Jetty, the building overlooks the sea and Malaysia’s Pasir Gudang. While every food and beverage establishment within The Punggol Settlement offers picturesque views, it is the second-floor occupants, including Izakaya 95, a yakitori specialist, that enjoy the most coveted seats.

Nestled in Bishan Park, it offers a peaceful and tranquil dining experience, with its full-length glass windows framing the verdant surroundings perfectly. While the food can best be described as bistro fare, with items such as all-day brunch options, Burp Kitchen & Bar is especially popular on weekend evenings when crowds throng the place for affordable grub and ice-cold beer in an idyllic setting.
