As the year-end holiday season approaches, more Singaporeans are preparing to travel overseas. In the month of October, AA Singapore organised the Overseas Safe Driving Forum 2023 in collaboration with the Singapore Road Safety Council (SRSC). The event, held at Marina Bay Sands, brought together road safety enthusiasts and experts to discuss safe driving practices, particularly in popular foreign destinations for Singaporeans such as Japan, New Zealand, Thailand, and Malaysia.
Key takeaways included insights into preventing accidents, addressing distractions and fatigue, as well as the importance of adequate insurance coverage when driving abroad. The forum also covered unique challenges and safety considerations for driving in these countries, as well as promoting cycling safety in urban areas. At the end of the forum, participants are equipped with valuable knowledge to ensure safer travels abroad.
I am also delighted to share some exciting news with Members. On 10 November 2023, our 98-Day London-Singapore Expedition Drive convoy will be making their triumphant return to Singapore. This memorable expedition has not only been a testament to the spirit of adventure, camaraderie and the love for the open road but is also a defining moment that embodies the spirit of AA Singapore.
AA Singapore will be welcoming the convoy at the AA Centre, where we will come together to celebrate this incredible journey and adventure. Members are encouraged to join us at the AA Centre as we celebrate this remarkable achievement.
Members who are eager to embark on a unique Autoventure™ expedition, AA Singapore will be organising a special preview session for our upcoming AA Autoventure™ Expedition Drive to Tibet, Everest Base Camp & Xinjiang 2024, which will take place on 15 November 2023 at the AA Centre. Through the preview session, you will have the opportunity to have a sneak peek of the itinerary and highlights of the AA Autoventure™ Expedition Drive to Tibet, Everest Base Camp and Xinjiang. During the session, Members can also meet and interact with our experienced expedition leaders, who will be your guide on this exhilarating adventure of a lifetime. Seats are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis, so interested members can register their interest and RSVP for the expedition via the Events and Activities page on the AA website.
