May/June 2023 Edition

Dear AA Members,

I extend my heartfelt wishes to our Muslim friends for a joyful and meaningful celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri. I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy Labour Day.

In May, the Association will be holding our online Annual General Meeting (‘AGM’) on 17 May 2023. In view of the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Alternative Arrangements for Meetings for Registered Societies) Meeting Order issued on 15 December 2022, which enable registered societies to convene, hold, or conduct meetings through electronic means until 1 July 2023, we have opted to convene the Annual General Meeting by electronic means as we seek to prioritise the health and safety of our Members. Details of the Annual General Meeting can be found via our AGM website and Members are required to register and login via the website by 4 May 2023, to view the AGM webcast. Should any Members require assistance with their registration, please contact us at 6333 8811 or email us at Our staff will guide you through the registration process.

I am also pleased to inform Members that we have recently launched our latest 3-Year Membership promotion for new Members sign-ups. From now till June, new Members can select a complimentary gift of either a Black + Decker Collapsible Wagon or a Black + Decker Dustbuster Vacuum when they sign up for AA Membership. This is an excellent chance to become part of our AA community and enjoy the exclusive benefits and privileges that come with AA Membership! For more information and details on the latest AA Membership promotions, Members can visit the Membership Promotions page.

To promote road safety awareness, the Association will be organising hybrid safety talks and courses for our Members in the months of May and June. There will be restrictions to the number of attendees for in-person courses to ensure the effectiveness of the session. AAS Academy will be conducting courses such as the Car Appreciation Course, Basic Car Maintenance Course, and Crash Prevention Course.  These courses are specifically designed to enhance driving skills and ensure road safety. Additionally, Members who are interested in assessing their risk level may sign up for our Online Driver Risk Assessment, which can be accessed at your convenience. To sign up or find out more about the available safety courses, please check out our Events and Activities page at our AA website.

New adventure also awaits in the months of May and June, as our Autoventure™ team will be leading fully booked trips to destinations such as Jeju Island, Busan, Gyeongju and Seoul as well as to Kuantan Island Terengganu and Desaru. For Members who wish to participate in our next Autoventure™, you can check out the Autoventure™ page on our AA website for more information our upcoming trips for 2023.

And with that, I hope that Members will enjoy our upcoming events, activities, and promotions for May and June, and I look forward to seeing all of you at the online Annual General Meeting on 17 May 2023!
