Dear AA Members,
I would like to wish our Muslim members a Selamat Hari Raya Haji.
In May, we held our online AA Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 18 May 2022. In consideration of the COVID-19 situation in Singapore and to safeguard our members and the community, the AGM was held online. We thank Members for pre-registering to attend the AGM and accessing the AGM via the live webcast platform. We look forward to your participation at next year’s AGM.
In support of the UN Global Road Safety Week, the Association launched a road safety campaign titled ‘Safe Speed, Save Lives’ #Love30, in partnership with the local school bus management company, Yeap Transport Pte Ltd. The launch event was held at United World College on 30 May 2022 with AA Singapore and Yeap Transport Pte Ltd. The ‘Safe Speed Save Lives’ #Love30 campaign aims to promote the concept of low-speed streets in Singapore and to encourage drivers to keep their driving speed at 30km/h in areas where people and motorists frequently mix, such as residential, school zones and silver zones. Members can also keep a look out on our social media platforms on Facebook and Instagram, as AA Singapore continues to roll out more road safety programs and initiatives in the future.
The Association will be rolling out new AA Membership and Renewal Promotions in July and Members may visit our Membership Promotions page for more information on the latest Membership promotions.
We have resumed our Autoventure drives to various destinations. In April, the Association organised a 21D20N Fly-Drive trip to Scotland, where participants get to drive along the spectacular North Coast 500 route as well as a 10D9N Fly-Drive trip to Tasmania in May. For Members who missed the chance to join our first Tasmania Fly-Drive trip in May, there will be an upcoming opportunity to join us for the 10D9N Fly-Drive trip to Tasmania this August. Interested Members may visit our AA website for more information on the list of available AUTOVENTURE™ destinations.
With the opening of borders in countries, if you are planning to travel soon, you may wish to sign up for a comprehensive travel insurance plan. AAS Insurance (AAS-IA) offers Travel Guard by AIG, which is now enhanced with COVID-19 coverage to provide 24/7 worldwide assistance to keep unexpected problems from affecting your itinerary. For AA Members who sign up the travel insurance with AA, you will also receive a 10% discount on single trips plans.

Meanwhile, AA Singapore continue to roll out new sessions for our courses such as Basic Car Maintenance Clinic and Car Appreciation Course. In July, there will be a 1-day theory and practical Defensive Driving Course, conducted by the Singapore Safety Driving Centre (SSDC) where participants can learn essential knowledge and skills in dealing with potentially-hazardous situations and how to handle driving with other road users. AA Members enjoy Members’ price when they sign up for any AA talks and courses. Please visit our AA website for our line-up of courses and activities.
Lastly, I wish everyone a Happy National Day ahead!
Best wishes,
Bernard Tay
